All is Fair at DBC

Almost everyone has had a job where you couldn’t wait to get out the door at oh-five-hundred. Your coworkers were gossiping, tearing each other down, or throwing each other under the proverbial bus. It felt a bit like Lord of the Flies.

At DBC, we’re working hard to build a (pretty awesome) culture. A culture driven by a value we call “Fair Play.”

Fair Play isn’t just some slogan stenciled here on the wall. (Uhhh, wait, we did paint that on our wall…)

It’s an idea that being nice and high standards can go hand-in-hand.

Here is what Fair Play means to DBC:

1. We’ve got your back. When sh*t hits the fan, how do you react? It’s easy to be nice when everything is roses, but the rubber hits the road when we’re putting out fires. And that’s when we rally as a team, instead of back-biting and finger pointing.
2. We Promote from Within. We’re growing, so our people can grow. We promote from within every chance we get. Why would anyone want to work any place that didn’t?!
3. Work hard. Be nice. We are experiencing solid growth and working hard. Sometimes it’s a bit intense. That’s when it would be easy for things to head south and thats when DBC’s policy of only hiring nice people, pays off.

Fair Play isn’t just the right way to be, it’s good for business and leads to higher productivity, lower turnover and even more creativity. It’s one of the reasons why DBC is killin’ it, but we’re killin’ it nicely!
